It was a wonderful Easter in Wisconsin...the weather was about 55 degrees all day, still a little breezy so the chill is still there, but so nice to be outside for Easter egg hunting. Jamie had to work today so I went over to his mom and dad's house and waiting for his sister Bridgette, her husband Tim and their daughter (my Goddaughter) Alana to drive up from Illinois. They got there around 2pm and Alana didn't even make it into the house before she was finding eggs in the yard and gathering them up...she came inside to get her Easter bucket and headed back outside to gather

up the eggs...all dressed up in her Easter dress and sandles with heels of course, she gathered them up, stopping to count them to see if she got all 16 of them...then back inside to hunt for the Easter basket Grandma hid for her...she looked upatairs and downstairs and finally found it behind a chair...it wasn't an Easter basket, but more like an Easter cart...Grandma always goes BIG! A Barbie, a watch, chocolate bunny, gardening tools, stuffed animals, jump rope...seriously way more stuff than I could ever mention. Ate an incredble Easter dinner with the family (Jamie

stopped by to eat while on duty) and Alana said grace before eating. Here is exactly what she said, "God, please take care of everyone in the world, Amen." Not bad for a five year old. I couldn't have said it better myself. After dinner we went outside for a little bit to jump rope with Alana and Grandma...I surprised myself that I could still do it...even backwards:) hehehe. Alana also did some raking in the flower beds before starting the trek home to Illinois...the only thing that could have made it better was having Jamie there for the fun...and it really was amazi

ng. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter celebration with their families.
